Before the formation of the Uniting Church in 1977, there was already a community at St. Mark's Mt Gravatt who was bringing together members of the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in shared fellowship and mission to the local area. Since then,St Mark's Uniting Church has been engaging in the local community in various ways, most recently through the twice a year Mega Garage Sale (March and September) where funds support missional activities in Australia and the world.
In 2019, the congregation of St. Mark's Uniting Church discerned their missional future, that God was calling them to join with other churches in the area to become Southside Uniting Church.

On 1 January 2020 a new congregation was born, Southside Uniting Church. We are one church, in multiple locations. Including centres in Holland Park, Mt Gravatt,Tarragindi, and Yeronga.
Our desire is to be part of God's work of discipling people in a deeper walk with Jesus. We see a future that is alive with the excitement of children, youth and their families. Where worship is vibrant. Where the people of our church have strong community connections and we are known throughout our area for proclaiming Jesus’ message of love, hope and care.
With faith, excitement, humility and filled with the limitless possibilities of the Holy Spirit, we are pursuing this future. Wherever you are on your faith journey, we'd love you to join us.
Your gift for the ministry of Southside Uniting Church is highly appreciated.
God has richly blessed each one of us, one of the ways that we respond to his love and grace is through financial giving. Our tithes, offerings and gifts support the mission and ministry of our congregation and enable us to bless others near and far.
During this time when we are not meeting in person for worship, you can still financially support our congregation by giving in one of the following ways.
Southside Uniting Church in Holland Park is known in the local area for being an inclusive community.
Originally St David's Presbyterian Church. On 22 June 1977 the congregation became part of the Uniting Church in Australia, becoming known as Holland Park St David's Uniting Church. Following many years of ministry in the local area, in 2015 the congregations of Holland Park Central Uniting Church and Holland Park St David's Uniting Church combined to form Holland Park Uniting Church. Holland Park discerned a future together in 2019, joining three other Uniting Church congregations to become Southside Uniting Church.
