This Sunday's picnic is going ahead. However, the venue has been changed.
We will now meet in the grassed and treed car park at our Tarragindi Centre.
Because we have a COVID safe plan we are able to conduct this picnic safely and responsibly.
The Queensland Government has announced restrictiions on gatherings due to COVID. These restrictions due not apply if there is a OOVID safe plan in place.
Earlier this month the Church Council executive adopted the Places of Worship COVID safe plan. This means that all our precautions for resuming face to face worship, and our other activities, are in compliance with Government approved, industry best practice.
As a result we WILL be holding face to face services tomorrow at Mt Gravatt ([8:30](about:blank) and [10:30](about:blank)) and Yeronga ([10:30](about:blank)). Every member of our congregation is welcome and able to attend. All we ask is that you pre-book by following the [link on our website](https://s.org.au/) and that you follow the standard COVID precautions.
What's intergenerational worship and what's happened to Sunday School.
With face to face worship services resuming on 16 August, David Fender and David MacGregor chat about the church's long tradition of gathering for worship.
We talk about Blue Care, resuming face to face worship and this Sunday.
We've gone through a lot of change this year, some of it unwanted, but we can't avoid any of it. How do we move through to find a new normal?
Given the events that are happening in Logan City and surrounds and the unknown potential of what could happen, it is with deep regret and acting out of an overabundance of caution that we have decided to not go ahead with our resumption of face to face services this Sunday. We are ever mindful of the health of our congregation and we thank you for the caution that you have shown over the past four months. At this stage there will NOT be face to face services on 2 or 9 August. We will reassess after that. As usual we will have worship online on Sunday at 9 am. We'd love you to be part of this.
